Mr. Steve Fuchs
Mr. Fuchs was born and raised in Concordia, Missouri where he graduated from St. Paul Lutheran High School. After graduating from Concordia College, Seward, Nebraska in 1979, he taught for two years at North Valley Lutheran School, Mission Hills, California before joining the faculty of Lutheran West in the fall of 1981. He earned a Masters Degree in Educational Supervision from Cleveland State University in 1989. At Lutheran West, Mr. Fuchs teaches Government, Geography, Economics, A.P. Government, and Sociology and serves as Student Council Advisor. He is an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Westlake. Mr. Fuchs and his wife, Lori, and their sons, Ben and Drew, are residents of Bay Village. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, listening to music, and “talking politics.”
Mr. Dave Ressler '86
Mr. Ressler graduated from Lutheran High School West (Class of 1986) and then went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Kent State University after two years at Findlay College, where he was able to continue his wrestling career. Mr. Ressler's first year teaching at Lutheran West was 1994-1995. He completed a Master’s Degree in United States History at American Military University in 2008. He currently teaches U.S. History, U.S. History Post-Secondary Option, and Sociology.
Mr. Ressler also serves as the head coach of the wrestling team, as well as the director of the youth wrestling program. He has coached eleven state qualifiers and six state placers. He is an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Fairview Park, where he has been teaching 5th grade confirmation classes for over five years. His wife, Martha, is also a 1986 graduate of Lutheran West High School and currently teaches kindergarten at St. Thomas Lutheran Early Childhood Center in Rocky River. His two children, Jacob and Mandi, attended and graduated from Lutheran West. Mr. Ressler enjoys spending his free time with his family and researching family history.
